Chocolate Frosting - Mimi's

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup water

3 tbs butter

3 squares unsweetened chocolate

1/2 1-lb. box confectioner's sugar, more or less

1 tsp. vanilla

1.       Bring all ingredients except confectioner's sugar and vanilla to boiling point and cook for three minutes.

2.       Remove pan from heat and cool slightly.

3.       Add confectioner's sugar to desired consistency.

4.       Add vanilla.

image\key.gif Frosting may be thinned, if necessary, by adding a few tsp. strong coffee.
