Serves 4

1 cup bulgur, uncooked (Brand name, Fisher's Ala), or cracked wheat*.
2 tbs. butter or margarine
1 tbs. minced onion
2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
Few grains pepper
1. Melt butter in skillet. Add bulgur and onion.
2. Stir and cook until golden.
3. Add broth and seasonings. Cover and bring to boil.
4. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
This recipe can be served instead of rice or potatoes with chicken, lamb, pork or other meats.
· Cracked wheat can be found in the flour section of your supermarket.
